Yahoo Publisher Network Adds Domain Level Blocking
The Yahoo Publisher Network blog announced a new feature to allow publishers to block ads from showing up on the domain or sub-domain level. The feature is called "Ad Blocking" with a large text box, where you enter in domains or sub-domains of sites you would like to block. You can enter in a total of 200 URLs.
Domain-Level Blocking: Entering, say, “mycompetitor.com will block ads pointing to the entire mycompetitor.com domain. This is the broadest form of blocking. Note that in order to do this, you must enter the domain URL without the “www domain prefix.
Sub-Domain Level Blocking: Entering “products.mycompetitor.com will block ads pointing to only the products.mycompetitor.com sub-domain. Ads pointing to www.mycompetitor.com (with the “www prefix) or a different sub-domain, such as “people.mycompetitor.com, will not be blocked.
PS - Yahoo, there is a typo on the ad blocking page in the portal, you have the instructions for the sub-domain level blocking twice, instead of showing the domain level blocking.
