Search Bloggers On Their Most Popular Posts & Stats For 2006

Search bloggers around the globe are celebrating the holiday season by giving the gift of competitive intelligence. From sharing their most popular posts to giving up all of their precious web statistics - a community of search bloggers are sharing more than they ever have.

First we have Andy Beal's Marketing Pilgrim with a post on his top 10 posts for 2006. Andy's number one post of the year was Dr. Google Sends Pain Relief, which is no surprise. Adam Lasnik of Google made a name for himself and helped out Andy's new blog by sending Andy a bottle of pain reliever for his AdWords woes.

Rand at SEOMoz opened up his doors and handed the keys to the community by sharing most of SEOMoz's 2006 stats. SEOMoz's top post of the year was surprising a post not written by Rand, but rather contributing writer "Oatmeal." He wrote 5 HTML elements you probably never use (but perhaps should), not directly related to SEO but rather a post on overall web design. What I find interesting about his stats is that his traffic by month is not incredibly stable, the sign of a true link bait artist.

Graywolf followed by providing his year end review. Graywolf doesn't share his most popular post, but he does his visitors count and Alexa rank, top referrals and Feedburner stats.

SEOScoop also provided her 2006 stats showing her monthly visits doubling over a 8 month period or so.

Let's not forget Search Engine Land Stats: December 2006 Preview. Danny will hopefully update it at the end of the year.
