Yahoo Fixes Lower Case Titles Bug In Search Results

A week ago, we thought that Lower Case Titles In Yahoo Coming From Anchor Text, and asked Yahoo about it. Tim Mayer of Yahoo has commented on original post at the Search Engine Roundtable saying that this has now been fixed. And, based on the examples in our post from last week, a search on searchbliss now brings up the title tag from that page and does not use internal anchor text (as we theorized) in the Yahoo search results. I have before and after screen captures over here.

Seems to have worked on my site. Now if they would only deal with the old directory listings that run interference on certain domains. Having exchanged emails on the subject with the good people at Yahoo, they are aware of the issue but a little slow to address the problem.

hey Lucky, I have the same problem with some of my sites. Did they say if or when they WOULD address the issues?

It should be fixed now...

f-lops-y... If you are referring to the issue about the old directory listings interfering with the organic results then no they didn't say when they would fix that. Although they did say that this was the reason why the site wasn't listing in their organic results and that they would address it, they have yet to remove the old directory listings. It has been about 4 months or so now. Sure glad other businesses don’t deal with known issues that interfere with their services the way Yahoo does.

hey Lucky, yes I was, and thanks for the feedback - for a while I thought it was just my sites. No rusty - not fixed - and been 3 months for me, and 4 months for Lucky. We have a little leverage with Y, and we're working on it.
