Google Images Quietly Adds Face Filter
Google Operating System reports that Google has added the ability to restrict your Google Image search by faces. To do so, just append "&imgtype=face" after your search string.
For example, a search on paris returns results of Paris, France, the Eiffel Tower, Paris Hilton and others. A search on paris but with "&imgtype=face" appended to the end, returns results mostly of Paris Hilton and other faces, because they match face results.
Another example is a search on google that returns mostly screen captures of the Google home page. If you add the face restriction parameter to the URL, you get pictures of people and faces related to Google.

Fyi, Exalead released a face filter a few weeks ago powered by LTU Technologies.
Freenet.de has allowed users for several years to narrow their image searches to only images containing a human face. They also offer OCR searching (search words inside an image). Interface Here ||| Interface Translated into English Here. This engine uses technology from Cobion/IBM.
