Hi Roogle,
I can think of a couple of reasons why you might be seeing that.
The Google toolbar is one way that can happen - it has a Browse by Name function that works by entering a search term in the address bar.
Internet Explorer also has a search default setting that will give you a search results page when typing in a search term in the address bar.

Hey Search Engine Land,
Any idea as to why a searcher lands on a Google SERP when typing in a keyword into a IE or Firefox address bar? I noticed this when, I type the term "motorcycle" into the address bar. I noticed this even after signing out of Google's personalized search. Weird? or is there a good explanation for this?
Thanks Search Engine Land!!
