Google Launches Google Shared Stuff

Google Blogoscoped reports that Google has launched Google Shared Stuff. This is a bookmarklet that you add to your browser, which enables you email or share web pages with your friends.

In addition to adding web pages to your Google Shared Stuff page, or emailing those web pages, you can also add them to related social bookmarking sites such as Facebook, Furl, del.icio.us, Social Poster, Reddit and Digg.

You can also view everyone's shared stuff by most popular, by searches on tags like youtube, or via a domain search such as google.com. Obviously, you can view a specific user's shared stuff, such as my Google Shared Stuff. There are RSS feed options on each of the above pages, this way you can stay up to date on shared stuff that interest you.

Tony Ruscoe documents step by step, with screen captures, how it all works.

Barry:
A quick note to point out that Ask Blog and Feed Search has offered both the ability to share and and subscribe to feeds directly from a blog/feed results page since June, 2006.

Here's an example. Look for the boxes below each result titled: Subscribe and Post.

oops. Forgot to mention a service I've used for several years and really find useful.
They offer both free and fee-based services.

Features include social sharing, syncing across browsers, hecking for dead and duplicate links, mobile version, client apps (PC and Mac) and more.

Here's a post FROM BookmarkSync comparing their service with to del.icio.us (also links to lots of stats). That should make Barry "Statman" Schwartz smile.

Thanks for adding Gary! I should of spent a bit more time discussing the other services that do this.
