Rick Backus

Considered a leading data feed and comparison shopping expert in the industry, Rick Backus began his career in Ecommerce working at the comparison shopping site Pricegrabber in 2006. Based on his findings about merchants that used Pricegrabber he co-founded CPC Strategy, a full-service data feed and comparison shopping management solution that’s been helping online retailers for more than 5 years now.

Rick Backus has been covering Google Shopping in January 2007, when he began testing title keyword optimization in Google Base data feeds. Since then he’s helped author more than 3 books on the topic and has been featured in a number of leading search publications.

CPC Strategy is currently partnered with more than 150 clients ranging from small businesses to Internet Retailer Top 500 merchants, but best helps business owners in the $1 million - $10 million in revenue / year range who are looking to scale out and make more profit from comparison shopping engines and data feeds.
