What’s the hottest trend in Hollywood right now? Ding, ding, it’s Bing. Google’s so 2009. As previously reported by CNET, Bing is hosting a special entertainment focused event in Hollywood on June 22, which Danny Sullivan and I will be attending; we’ll be live blogging and tweeting it, of course.

Bing made a splash at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, and the search engine has already been rubbing elbows in the entertainment vertical for awhile with xRank. Here’s the press invite that they sent out, which shows what they have planned for Tuesday’s event:

Bing.com & the future of Entertainment Search

We’re expecting to hear more from Yusuf Mehdi (who recently did a Q&A Keynote at SMX Advanced with Danny Sullivan) about Bing’s future plans for entertainment search at the event and in new features being rolled out.

The event has quite the lineup of celebrity speakers for a short one hour discussion session, including Oscar winners Kathryn Bigelow (director of the Hurt Locker) and T Bone Burnett (writer, best original song “The Weary Kind” from Crazy Heart), actor Joseph Gordon Levitt, director of the Hangover Todd Phillips, Mad Men producer Matthew Weiner, plus Twitter co-founder Biz Stone. All followed by an afterparty with musical act Drake and DJ Cassidy.

Stay tuned.
