Bing’s New Social-Friendly Search Interface Now Live

bing-logoThe new Bing interface, with a healthy dose of social connections and discovery, is now live for all users.

Bing’s announcement today says that anyone can access the new interface at, but you should also see a new message atop the Bing home page that invites you to try “the best search, now with people from your social networks.”

Even without clicking the “Check it out” link or first going to, I was shown the new, three-column display on a search for “seattle restaurants.”

When Bing announced the new interface last week, it included “Snapshots” — a new version of search results that shows additional information about each listing in the middle panel. A Bing spokesperson tells us that that feature is still about a week away from going live on

If you missed the original announcement last week, the new Bing interface adds various social elements to search results, including a “social sidebar” that pulls in friend and expert information from Facebook and Twitter related to your search query. For more on how it works, see our stories from last week:

Bing says the new interface is also available on Bing mobile ( with a layout that’s optimized for smaller screens and touch-based input.

It’s not available to everyone. I meet all requirements, (I have a facebook & live acct & i live in the U.S.), but somehow I still don’t see any of the new Bing. I keep seeing the popup asking me if I want to try it, but it still doesn’t work. I think it’s really not rolled out to everyone yet.

My job as an internet marketer would be a lot easier if Bing and Facebook got along with Google… Someone needs to be bought out so the platforms will work will together.

Yeah, I do not think such news must be released unless it hits globally. I am from India, I do not even see the New and “Cleaner” Search results page that someone posted about more than a week ago.

Bing really needs to catch up with the way Google does it. If they announce something it surely is visible to everyone that uses Google – which is again Everyone in the world. Sorry Bing

Hey guys a little off-topic…Is there a problem with “BING Webmaster Keyword Tool” because I am not getting any data when researching keywords. After typing in specific keyword and hitting search I get no data in the “Impressions” and also no data from “Suggestions”. It was working good a couple days ago. Is it just me?

These days all rollouts take time to cover the entire user base. Google instant did not come for all the users at once. Facebook updates don’t roll out for all he users at once either. I don’t think you have a point there against bing.
