We spend a lot of time coming up with networking activities for Search Engine Land’s Search Marketing Expo conferences, and our SMX West event happening next week from Feb. 10-12 in Santa Clara, California, is no exception. One of these are our Meet & Eat tables. Registration is now open for those, plus there are a number of other networking events, parties as well as 50 sessions packed with search marketing knowledge.

Each day at lunch, we have several tables assigned to different topics. A table leader will help get discussion going, and then everyone at the table can talk with each other to share questions, answers and tips. Each day, there’s also one table where a Google search engineer will be taking questions (and on the third day, we even have two tables like this — thank you, Google!). All the topics are below:

Meet & Eat is open to any SMX West attendee with either a networking or full-conference pass. Tables are booked through our SMX Connect social networking system, which you get access to after registering. This is a pretty nice additional networking feature we offer — a way to easily see who is going and do shout-outs to those you’d like to meet. Plus, you can also use the system to plan which of the 50 sessions you want to attend, when you arrive.

In addition to SMX Connect and the Meet & Eat tables, we also have four different events where people can meet in person and relax:

• SMX Meet & Greet happens the night before the show, an informal cocktail mixer.
• SMX Networking Reception happens right after sessions end on the first day of the show, a chance to talk and mingle in the exhibit hall.
• The Internet Marketers Charity Party happens the evening of the first day of the show, offers an open bar, appetizers and supports a good cause.
• WebmasterRadio.FM’s Search Bash @ SMX West happens the evening of the second day of the show, a great party to celebrate the last night of our event.
