The formal launch of Search Engine Land remains December 11. However, Barry and I have decided to kickstart the daily SearchCap newsletter this Friday. We Have A Search Engine Land Logo!

I'd like to thank again everyone who helped us narrow down the choices for a Search Engine Land logo. We came to a final decision, shown above. The feedback was incredibly helpful in getting to the final design. Here's a bit more about why we went with it. The top choice in the voting was for a logo that made use of the gears-as-hill metaphor. Gears? Search engines. You know, engines have gears! Hills? Search Engine Land. Search Engine Land Correspondents Named

I said earlier that I, Chris Sherman and Barry Schwartz would be writing here on Search Engine Land when it formally launches on December 11. I'm happy to now add that we'll be working with correspondents: Phil Bradley, Bill Slawski, Jennifer Slegg, Brian Smith, and Greg Sterling. We're glad to have them aboard! I said before that a logo for Search Engine Land was in the works (along with an entire site design -- what you currently see is NOT how the site will look when launched next month). We've bounced around various logos internally and narrowed the field. But I thought it would be fun to see what people in general think. So below are the some of the final logos we're debating.
