    Great post Eric! I was just thinking about the multi-brand scenario this morning when I saw that SiriusXM smartly segmented their social strategies for each one of their “banner” radio stations.  Nice to see some are getting it right.

    As a performance based discipline SEO and PPC tends to attract a different character type from social media. The former sits naturally and easily inside marketing. Whereas the latter tends to be more comfortable wthin the PR function. Although the two disciplines share the technology base, the personalities controlling them may well enjoy a dysfunctional relationship.
