How many links does it take? What is the cost of visibility?
Being visible, being easy to spot and standing out from the crowd results in increased revenue for your business. Potential customers are much more likely to visit your website if it’s in the top five results of Google’s SERPs (search engine results pages).
Time is valuable, and no one has the time to dig through pages and page of results to find your website.
Your customers are careful about how they spend their money. If you’re easily found, that works in your favor. If you’re an authority in your industry, as demonstrated by high search rankings, that works even more in your favor.
You’re the best at what you do, but you need to be visible to your potential customers. They need to know that you’re the best. That requires good, high quality backlinks.
A few years ago, websites were ranked by building thousands of links on irrelevant sites. These links came from spammy directories, blog networks that offered no content and tons of paid links.
How can you build the links you need and stay out of trouble? How many links does it take? How do you avoid penalties and keep your links clean?
How can you build quality links and future-proof your brand’s online visibility?
Every link you build needs to be a good link on a site that makes sense. A relevant link is built by humans, for humans. This requires thought, time and effort—but it’s nowhere near impossible.
How many relevant links does it take?
We’ve been in the link building game for a while now, and we’ve pretty much seen it all. We’ve built links for world class brands and mom & pop shops around the globe. We lived through the spam days, and we learn something new every day.
But we’re still curious. We put in 160 hours of original research on a lucrative search term and identified the big players. We did a complete backlink analysis on the top 3 results in that high-earning sector and the results were surprising, even to us.
We had no stake in this keyword. We just wanted to learn.
What we found was encouraging. The process of building links and staying out of trouble seems daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. You can do it.
Even in the most competitive industry, you can still stand out to your potential customers. Online visibility is within your reach, and it doesn’t require any backroom dealings or shady practices.
