Totally agree with this. It’s all about the data and our content is data, and it needs labelling to give it structure and meaning.

I’m really surprised Google still professes to understand their “algo” – as it must have so many layers in it by now, with the original work totally outdated as the internet has changed so dramatically. They can’t start from scratch so they’re plugging in the holes at the bottom of the bucket with these updates. The guys that build the bucket are long gone.

Well there’s a lot not being told correctly. If you Google “SEO Company”, Green Cow SEO has had the top spot for MONTHS, notwithstanding the fact that they have the spammiest link profile in the world. Go look for yourself. SQL injections on high PR sites with links covered up by Javascript to the average viewer. This stuff is outrageous, and Google doesn’t seem to care. Check out seospoiler.com/tag/greencow/ for the full story. Anyone else have any thoughts on this? I know people who have emailed Google directly to complain about this, but nothing has been done. Vinnie Curto is nowhere to be found anymore, but Green Cow is the new Vinnie, and I’ve got no proof Vinnie did anything close to what these jokers are doing, with apparently no penalty.
