Facebook Friday Question Says: Most Buy Google Ads, Then Google & Bing

The last of my catch-up on our Facebook Friday Questions, our Facebook fans tell us that most of them buy ads on Google only, followed by Google and Bing, with only a small number buying Bing only.

We asked those who follow our Search Engine Land Facebook page, “If you buy search ads, where do you buy them?” Of the 254 who responded on May 6, doing both was the top choice:

  • Google: 152 (76.4%)
  • Google & Bing: 42 (21.1%)
  • Bing: 5 (2.5%)

Since starting with Bing, we are getting such greater cost-effectiveness of ads, but the sheer volume of traffic that Google can drive means its an essential part of any paid search strategy.
