Google Docs Adds Files Storage, AKA GDrive

The Google Docs blog announced a new feature that allows you to upload files and share those files with friends, co-workers and colleagues. Google is limiting the file upload to 250 MB per file, with a maximum total of 1 GB of free storage. Of course, you can always buy more storage at any time, if needed.

Over the years, there have been many rumors of the GDrive. We actually covered these rumors several times in 2007, but nothing really came about on this topic back then.

For more details on how to use this new feature, see the help section at the Google Docs site.

I’ll feel safer using GDrive than some of the other doc-storage services. Thanks for the post, never would have known about it otherwise.
