Google announced they have added a new geographic web layer over Google Earth with information from Wikipedia, Panoramio and the Google Earth community. This information is accessible via Google Earth and it shows you individual photos, reviews, write ups, and much more about a specific location on Google Earth. How does it work?

HotPads.com has a similar integration with Wikipedia on its housing search maps. We also have other area information including demographic, political, and housing data along with heat maps. Kind of ineresting. Though…I gues you cannot take a virtual vacation on HotPads.
