Google Launches “Gadget Ads” Beta

Google Tests ‘Gadget Ads’ from MediaPost reports Google has begun testing a new ad product named “Gadget Ads.” In short, the Google Gadgets you see across the web and on your “iGoogle” (Google personalized) home page will begin to contain ads in them.

Currently the ads are being testing in the auto industry but by summer time they expect the ads to hit all industries. It appears that Gadget Ads will be part of the AdSense network and will be priced based on a CPC or CPM model.

It is not clear yet if this will be a unique product within AdSense, but we are told that Google Analytics will break out “interaction reporting” to show advertisers the response they are getting from the Gadget Ads.

ONE COMMENT ON Google Launches “Gadget Ads” Beta

Marcelo Antelo,

The concept really works!

But did we, that build those gadgets, will be rewarded with a portion of those profits? We will, right?

I have some gadgets like Today in History of Copacabana and the Livecams with realtime images and both send me some traffic, livecam.xml (the gadget) in fact is one of my top15 webpages! Did we will be rewarded for our development? Did this reward will be available only for the Adsensers?

With the clicks paying so small…
