Google Local Business Center Adds Coupon Link & Bulk Upload Verification

The Google Local Business Center has added a way to link directly to your Google Maps coupons and has added a verification process for those who use the bulk upload process.

Mike Blumenthal noticed the new link to coupon feature the other day. You can link directly to a specific coupon or to all your coupons listed on Google Maps. Mike believes this may drive some more awareness for this coupon feature on Google Maps.

In addition, I reported at the Search Engine Roundtable that Google Maps is now asking those who submit locations to them in bulk to verify first. The details, requirements and the verification form itself, can be found over here. I believe this verification process is to help with the Google Local Business Center spam found in Google Maps due to the bulk upload process.

Great that Google are making improvements on the maps front but their spam is certainly not limited to the bulk upload feature thats for sure.
