Google has a special logo up on their home page to celebrate Paddington Bear’s 50th birthday. Here is a screen capture of the special logo:
I noted at the Search Engine Roundtable that today is also Columbus Day, and Google does not have a logo for the day. At least three people asked me why. I can’t remember any time Google did have a logo for Columbus day, so it should not be a surprise for most people. In fact, none of the major search engines or minor engines have a logo for the day. I should note that the Search Engine Roundtable does have a theme for Columbus day.
In any event, I love when Google pulls out these little days to remember. This logo did bring back good childhood memories – for me at least.
