Google & Other Search Apps For The iPhone

It has been almost two weeks since I got my iPhone and I have been playing with it for a while now.

I wanted to share with you the various cool search applications I use on my iPhone, including Google’s AJAX iPhone search.

Google iPhone Search: Google’s iPhone search is available over here. Here are screen captures of me using it for a search on [barry schwartz]:

Bloglines on iPhone: Bloglines, owned by Ask.com, is a very popular web-based RSS feed reader. They recently launched Bloglines for the iPhone at i.bloglines.com. Here are some screen captures:

NewsGator also has an iPhone specific feed reader at m.newsgator.com/iphone.aspx. I do not have a NewsGator login, so no screen shots for you on that.

Twitter on iPhone: There are several Twitter applications for your iPhone, including m.twitter.com, but I prefer PocketTweets. Here are some screen images of PocketTweets in action:

Twitter Updates: PocketTweets - iPhone Twitter

Twitting: PocketTweets - iPhone Twitter

Flickr on iPhone: Yahoo’s Flickr is a great search tool also. You can easily search Flickr photos using iPhlickr on your iPhone. Here are some screen images of this in action:

Sport Scores on iPhone: I use iPhone Sports to find quick sport scores on my iPhone. I am sure there are other resources out there, but this is the one I know of. Here is a single screen capture:

Top News Stories on iPhone: PressDisplay.com was shown to me by Gary Price. This site is a news portal designed to work well on the iPhone. Here are screen captures:

Magic on iPhone: One last thing, did you know I can make popcorn in my iPhone?

I am sure there are many other applications you can use on your iPhone for finding information. If I missed any that you are aware of, please comment. I would love to learn of other applications that you love to use on your iPhone.

If you access http://www.google.com/reader/m/view/ on a normal phone or browser you get Google Reader for Mobile, however, if you access it on iPhone there’s a iPhone-esque interface.
