The new release is said to enable users to manage campaigns over multiple accounts more efficiently. It also adds handling of new ad features, such as Ad Sitelinks and the targeting of mobile devices.

AdWords Editor 9 now fully supports Ad Sitelinks, a feature Google introduced back in 2009, which allows an advertiser to include up to four links pages on their site, underneath their ad. Targeting for high-end mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, Android and Palm) is also supported by version 9.

Additionally, the software allows users to more easily find, switch between, and otherwise manage accounts and My Client Centers (MCCs). This feature is aimed at saving time for agencies and in-house marketers managing a great number of accounts. Similarly-focused capabilities include improving the management of spreadsheet uploads.
