Google Rises To UK’s 2nd Biggest Ad Earner

Google now challenging ITV to be UK’s top advertiser by Times Online reports Google is just one spot behind the leader in ad revenue earned in the UK market. This data comes from Google’s Annual Report where they learn Google UK’s ad revenue has “risen by 83 per cent.” Google UK has earned $1.6 billion (£825 million) in 2006, putting them ahead of Channel 4 who has earned “just over £800 million” but behind the leading ad revenue earner in the UK, ITV. ITV is expected to report earnings of £1.47 billion in 2006 this Wednesday.
