Ever wonder what it’s like being an intern at Google? Well, don’t look to an upcoming film, called “The Internship,” to provide much insight, even though the movie, starring Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, is set at the search giant, as reported by Search Engine Watch.

The comedy, which Vaughn expects to garner an “R” rating, features Vaughn and Wilson as 40-something salesmen who try to start over after getting laid off — by becoming interns at Google.

“We get free food, we get to play ping pong and take naps … We find a way to get into the intern program and try to get a job there,” said Vaughn in an interview published by the Huffington Post.

Filming for the Shawn Levy-directed flick isn’t taking place in Mountain View, however. Instead, it began this week at the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta, where a student documented set decoration aimed at making the location more “Googly.”

Photography is set to continue at Georgia Tech through the month of August. The Internship, set to be released next year, will also feature John Goodman and Daily Show vet Aasif Mandvi.

Google hasn’t commented on the film, but presumably it would have had to give permission for its corporate identity to be used in the 20th Century Fox production.

Postscript: Some filming is now happening at Google itself. See our article, Now Filming At Google: “The Internship” With Vince Vaughn & Owen Wilson
