Google’s Festive Happy Holidays Logo For 2012

Google is featuring a Google logo, aka Doodle, for the holiday season this morning. The logo is incredibly happy and festive, with lots of colors and Christmas like characters and activities within the logo that makes up the letters in Google’s name.

The logo can be found worldwide today, December 24th, on Christmas Eve. But when I peek ahead at Google Australia, where it is already Christmas day, I currently do not see a special holiday logo for Christmas. Maybe Google will surprise us?

Like every year, there is some concern that Google doesn’t say “Merry Christmas” as opposed to “Happy Holidays” in the logo or the search result for clicking on the logo.

I second that!!! what is the problem around here anyone can come it to our country and celebrate their holidays openly and we american`s can not say Merry Christmas on Christmas day we are losing our identity.MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!.

Your ‘loss of identity’ as you refer to it is actually the influence of a religion, of which there are many. They are just affecting you more now because they’re right in front of you and that’s how you decide to perceive the world, which seems simple but hey, we’re from North America and we like it easy -.- Due to this excess of religion there is an excess of holidays–and these ones typically coincide around the same time due to this being around the last solstice of the earth making one complete orbit around the sun– and so they are merely attempting to broaden the range of users with which the can make a connection to, which will most certainly increase ratings. Google is an industry, not a volunteer organization attempting to represent the holiday traditions that were previously the virtual sum of those celebrated in America.

Are you for real? You can say “Merry Christmas” all you bloody well want. Nobody is trying to stop you. Or you can say “Happy Holidays.” Or you can say “Season’s Greetings.” Or you can say nothing at all. Nobody really cares. Can the xenophobia, don’t worry about what anyone coming into “our country” is doing, and have a Merry Minding-your-own-beeswax Christmas and a Happy Pulling-your-head-out-of -your-backside New Year!

  • Gentler_Reader

I need to be prayed for and “see the light that is our savior” because I told you that you’re free to do what you want? What kind of sense does that make? That’s some delusion you’ve got operating there.
