Those who visit Google.com today will be reminded that it is Issac Newton’s birthday today. Issac Newton came up with the theory of gravitation and the story behind it. In short, the story was that Newton was sitting by or under an apple tree, when an apple fell from the tree. That is what sparked him to think of the force of gravity and come up with the theory of gravitation.

Google has gone further then they ever have in the past with this Google Doodle. They actually animated the Doodle, where the Apple falls off the Google logo and drops to under the search box. All this is, is a bit of fancy JavaScript to make this happen, but in Google terms, this is something pretty significant. Google has really never animated their Google Logo before, at least, I can never remember them animated their logo before.
