Google’s Schmidt Interviews Senator John McCain

Google interviews McCain about presidential run from Reuters reports that Google’s CEO, Eric Schmidt interviewed Senator John McCain in front of “several hundred employees.”

In this interview, McCain admit that he was not the best student, saying “my GPA earned me 5th from the bottom of my class.” McCain also says he isn’t the brightest, “everyone in this room is probably smarter than I am.” I have found the video uploaded on May 4th at YouTube, I have embedded it below.

Postscript: The Google Blog posted more details on this.

Just as the Internet poses interesting policy questions, it also helps empower citizens with more information. So, to help potential voters learn more about the candidates and their views on the issues, we’ve posted the complete, unedited videos of these candidate talks on YouTube. Take some time to check out Sen. Clinton’s talk and Sen. McCain’s (as well as a special interview that Sen. McCain did with YouTube’s CitizenTube).

One Comment on Google’s Schmidt Interviews Senator John McCain

Loren Baker,

This comment was made on behalf of Neil Patel; Not only is it amazing that Google has brought in a Presidential Candidate to speak to their employees, but also that their CEO interviews him.

Question, has Google brought in other US presidential candidates for employee pep talks?

To the best of my knowledge, Google lobbying is heavy on the Democratic side. Interesting that they bring in a conservative candidate to speak to their employees.

I wonder if this is some sort of endorsement.

On the other hand, great PR for Google and YouTube.
