Great synopsis Mark. On another note, I saw ‘Northern Light search engine’ mentioned in your bio. OMG. I remember Northern Light from the heady-days of dial-up!

Rick thanks. I’m glad that Dial-Up is behind us – the compromises we had to make pushed engineering creativity to the brink. On the other hand, I know of one gentleman from my military days who still has dial-up. I don’t know how he copes.

    Great article and research Mark!

As the owner of a full service SEO/SEM agency, I have managed our company PPC and SEO campaigns for years and have researched and targeted many of the types of keywords you mentioned. Sometimes people that search for these type of keywords are looking to start their own SEO/marketing business or agency, or these people want to increase their leads for their interactive firm…

Nick, Thanks. Yes, I agree about business and industry related search terms. Semantically they are related, but often are not contextually, and they can be vague in intent. This has been true for almost every search behavior model I have developed.
