Is it really that big a deal that we can now do with Twitter what we were already doing with the non-Twitter Internet? Is this really a great leap forward in terms of convenience? I'm not grasping the significance.

If it used Twitter to identify my location from my profile information, so that I could just ask it for "pizza" and get pizza in Norfolk (or at my latitude and longitude), that would at least be something. This just seems like using two websites to do the work of one.

Got to hand it to Idearc. This is a great idea and I would expect to see a lot of fast followers.
