International Search Summit Keynote: Yandex Co-Founder & CTO Ilya Segalovich
Yandex is Russia’s leading search engine, besting even mighty Google in numbers of unique visitors in its home country. But, did you know comScore also ranks it as the world’s fourth largest overall search engine, ahead of Bing in number of search requests processed?
In part, that’s due to its global ambitions to expand beyond its home borders. With recent product introductions and infusions of capital, Yandex has positioned itself to be a solid competitor over the coming years. And, if you’re a serious search marketer, that means Yandex should be showing up as a very bright light on your radar of opportunities.
At the upcoming International Search Summit, co-located with SMX London, you’ll be able to get an up-close and personal view of Yandex during the keynote fireside chat with Yandex CTO and co-founder Ilya Segalovich. Ilya will be talking with international search expert Andy Atkins-Krüger and myself about everything from building a search engine to the Russian search market and the future of search.
We also plan to ask Ilya a lot of questions about the opportunities for search marketers around the globe. Questions like how Yandex is unique, how it differs from Google, and importantly, how it supports webmasters and advertisers to help them succeed with their search marketing efforts on this powerhouse “alternative” search engine.
Ilya’s keynote is just part of a jam-packed day devoted to international search marketing. The International Search Summit takes place on May 14th, 2013 at the Chelsea Football Club. Better yet, you can sign up for a value-priced combo pass for all three days of SMX London and ISS so you won’t miss any of the great content and speakers we’ve got lined up for both events.
