It’s International Women’s Day, and Google is celebrating women by asking them to finish the sentence, “One day I will..”
Google sent film crews around the world to create a series of videos that highlight women sharing their dreams and aspirations by telling what they plan to accomplish one day. According to Google, the crews were made up of mostly women to foster a celebratory and encouraging environment.
It’s always an honor to pay tribute to women who have changed the course of history, sometimes in the face of seemingly insurmountable obstacles. But for this year’s International Women’s Day, we wanted to celebrate the Doodle-worthy women of the future.
The videos spotlight females of all ages — from toddlers to grandmothers — and even a few women who have already made a name for themselves, including Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai, activist Muzoon Almellehan and Jane Goodall, who wishes one day to talk about the environment with the Pope.
Google produced a total of 13 #OneDayIWill videos highlighting women from San Francisco, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, Lagos, Moscow, Cairo, Berlin, London, Paris, Jakarta, Bangkok, New Delhi and Tokyo. The videos are posted on Google’s home pages around the world, replacing the site’s usual Google Doodle, and lead to a search for “International Women’s Day.”
The following video is posted on Google’s US home page:
Here are a few more of the videos filmed in cities across the globe.

You can view all 13 of Google’s #OneDayIWill videos on the Google Doodle blog: International Women’s Day 2016.
In addition to the video, Google has included a link on its home page to a #OneDayIWill website, where women can share their aspirations, as well as watch behind-the-scenes footage of the #OneDayIWill videos.
