Google Trends Comes To Web Sites: Trends For Web Sites

Google has launched a major addition to Google Trends named Trends for Web Sites. Trends for Web Sites extends Google Trends by enabling you to search for web site addresses, as opposed to just searching for trends by keyword.
R.J. Pittman, Google's Director of Product Management, told me that by entering a domain name into Google Trends, Google will return traffic, search, and geographic visitation data for that site. TechCrunch was watching NBC's Today show yesterday, where Google User Experience VP Marissa Mayer revealed the "fastest growing" search queries from 2007. Below is the list, as well as news about a webcast Google's having on top terms of the year.

Google Trends Now Updated Hourly

The Google Blog announced today that Google Trends is now updated every hour. In the past, it was just updated monthly with the latest statistics on searches.
If you want to track the latest hot trends by hour, you can subscribe to the hourly Hot Trends Atom Feed or add a Google Gadget to your iGoogle home page.
