People absolutely love Google Doodles and today Google has went way over the top to pay respect to Bob Moog, the man who is credited for revolutionizing modern day music. He invented the first electrical music device, he named the Moog Synthesizer. The Moog Synthesizer was first introduced at the Audio Engineering Society convention in 1964. Google and others credit Moog for the music of legends such as The Beatles, The Doors, Stevie Wonder, Kraftwerk and others. Dylan Hoffman’s Pirate Times Doodle 4 Google Wins Pirate Booty

Google announced the winner of the Doodle 4 Google competition and today that winner's logo is on Google home pages around the world. The Winner is Dylan Hoffman of Caledonia, Wisconsin for his Doodle named "Pirate Times." The Doodle won him a $30,000 college scholarship, a Chromebook computer and a $50,000 technology grant for his school. Plus, the Doodle is on the Google home page and will be on a special edition of Crayola 64-crayon box. Google’s King Tut Howard Carter Birthday Logo

Today is the 138th birthday of Howard Carter, the man known to have discovered the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, aka King Tut. He was born today 1874 and discovered the tomb in 1922. It may be one of the most well known archaeological discoveries ever. Carter was born and died in Kensington, London. He died from lymphoma at the age of 64 on March 2, 1939. The Keith Haring Google Logo

To celebrate the life of the late Keith Haring, Google has a special Google Logo (aka Doodle). Today would be his 54th birthday. He died at the young age of 31. But he was well known for his graffiti art and much of his later years he was involved in activism and awareness about AIDS. He was diagnosed with AIDS in 1988 and set up a foundation, Keith Haring Foundation, in 1989. In Haring's short career his work was featured in over 100 solo and group exhibitions.
