Third Annual Doodle 4 Google Contest

Google announced their third annual Doodle 4 Google contest today. In this year's contest, the competition is around the theme, "If Could Do Anything, I Would..." The prizes include, the logo being features on Google.com on May 27, 2010, plus receive a $15,000 college scholarship, a laptop computer and a $25,000 technology grant for their school. Google Logo For Norman Rockwell Saturday Evening Post

If you visit Google.com today, you will see a special doodle, aka logo, with a boy and a girl sitting on a bench together. The painting was one of Norman Rockwell's most famous, which was on the front cover of the Saturday Evening Post on April 24, 1926. It was known as the "Little Spooners." Today is Rockwell's 116th birthday, which was on February 3, 1894. He was 20th-century American painter and illustrator and was best known for his cover illustrations on the Saturday Evening Post for over 40 years. [...]

Google’s Issac Newton Apple Tree Logo

Those who visit Google.com today will be reminded that it is Issac Newton's birthday today. Issac Newton came up with the theory of gravitation and the story behind it. In short, the story was that Newton was sitting by or under an apple tree, when an apple fell from the tree. That is what sparked him to think of the force of gravity and come up with the theory of gravitation. Google has gone further then they ever have in the past with this Google Doodle.
