Bing’s New Music Video Search Results Page Showcases Popular Videos With Related Artists & Albums Lists

From now on, when searching for a music video by song title, artist or album, users will see the following box at the top of their search results, showcasing the "most popular" music video related to the search, along with details and a list of "Top Songs" connected to the video. Bing says it is showcasing videos from, "Leading sites including YouTube, Vimeo, MTV, Artist Direct and more." Bing Video Adds More Filters, Navigation & Pop Overlays

The upgrades include additional search filters, larger video thumbnails, pop-out hover previews and video overlay and improved navigation. New filters – Allow people to easily filter through video content categories by length, date, resolution and source. Bigger video thumbnails – Larger thumbnails make it easier for people to scan through videos and now include source favicon and video view counts. Bing Asking Users To Break Their Google Habit In Latest Bing It On Challenge

bing-it-on-featured Bing announced today a new version of their Bing It On Challenge, an online campaign launched last September that offers users a side-by-side comparison of Bing and Google search results. In the latest Bing It On Challenge, Bing asks users to perform five separate search queries on BingItOn.com and choose the unbranded search result list they prefer after each query. Users are told whether they prefer Bing or Google based on the search results they selected. Bing Video Update: Larger Previews, Infinite Scroll & Related Content

Microsoft has announced on the Bing Search Blog an update to their video search features. Bing Video added larger video thumbnails when you hover over video results in the search results. They also added infinite scroll when you view videos on Bing Video. Additional search refinements for related content and a large video viewer and filmstrip were also added. Redesigned Bing Bar Toolbar More Like A “Dashboard”

Bing is introducing a totally redesigned version of its toolbar, called the "Bing Bar." Apparently it has been "rebuilt from the ground up," says Microsoft's Stefan Weitz. Bing Launches New Video Portal With Help From MSN

Bing and MSN have combined to create Bing Videos, a new video portal that combines the content from MSN Videos with Bing's search technology. According to today's announcement (and more here), the new site combines videos from a variety of sources. The former MSN Videos offered original programming, as well content from the likes of MSNBC, Fox Sports, National Geographic, and others.
