Bing announced today a new version of their Bing It On Challenge, an online campaign launched last September that offers users a side-by-side comparison of Bing and Google search results. In the latest Bing It On Challenge, Bing asks users to perform five separate search queries on BingItOn.com and choose the unbranded search result list they prefer after each query. Users are told whether they prefer Bing or Google based on the search results they selected. Microsoft has announced on the Bing Search Blog an update to their video search features. Bing Video added larger video thumbnails when you hover over video results in the search results. They also added infinite scroll when you view videos on Bing Video. Additional search refinements for related content and a large video viewer and filmstrip were also added. Bing is introducing a totally redesigned version of its toolbar, called the "Bing Bar." Apparently it has been "rebuilt from the ground up," says Microsoft's Stefan Weitz. Bing and MSN have combined to create Bing Videos, a new video portal that combines the content from MSN Videos with Bing's search technology. According to today's announcement (and more here), the new site combines videos from a variety of sources.
