Quora Kicks Off Verified Profiles With Spotlight On President Barack Obama

Barack Obama Quora profile March 2014 Quora announced new Verified Profiles today, now adding a checkmark to profile pictures of public figures and writers deemed worthy by the site. According to Quora, it doesn't accept verification requests, but instead will determine who gets a verified profile based on whether a "significant percentage of Quora readers recognize the person's name or background and will value confirmation of the person's identity." Bing Brings Quora Content Into Its Social Sidebar

bing-icon Bing continues to expand the content that may show up in its social sidebar, with news today that its Quora integration is complete. The integration involves Bing showing top Quora contributors in the sidebar when there's Q&A content on Quora that's related to the Bing search term, much like the sidebar might show content from Facebook or Twitter if that's relative to the search. DuckDuckGo Honored As One TIME’s Top Websites Of 2011; Google+ & Quora, Too

Quora Launches Browse Feature To Help Users Find Related Content

Over the past few months, Quora has been rolling out a variety of new features to help improve the experience on the social question and answer site.  The newest element is a browse page that joins Shuffle (launched in June) and Topic Pages (launched in July).  The goal of the new browse page is to deliver fresh, relevant content that is personalized to Quora users.  The new browse page pulls in recently upvoted answers from both topics that you follow and topics that are related to what you follow.  This new functionality looks very nice visually, with large icons for the various topics [...]


Quora Co-Founder Outlines Plans To Deal With Growing Pains

Quora, a relatively new question-and-answer search engine that's become a darling of the tech community, is suffering through growing pains caused by exponential growth in the past two weeks.
