Yahoo announced two new features on Yahoo Image Search, social sharing and continuous scrolling. Social Sharing On Images: Yahoo Images enables you to share the images you find on Yahoo Image Search with your friends on Facebook or Twitter, not Google +. When you click on an image result and are taken to the larger image, Yahoo provides two small links for sharing on those networks. Yahoo Gives Image Search A New Look

Yahoo's Image Search is sporting a fresh look today that presents the image results in a cleaner, more organized fashion. Do a search and the results page shows all matches in a grid, with each image sized almost uniformly no matter their true dimensions or orientation (horizontal vs. vertical). Each image expands when you hover it. Yahoo Rolling Out New “Accordion” Search & Other Features

Yahoo is launching a number of search enhancements this evening that start to deliver on the UI innovation that the company has been promising since the Microsoft search deal was announced. It's part of Yahoo's bid to remain relevant in search by spicing up the user experience and trying to bring more utility to page one. Yahoo Redesigns Image & Video Search Pages To Show Trending Results

Yahoo announced they have redesigned the home page for Yahoo Image Search and Yahoo Video Search to include trending search results. The new pages are no longer dull looking, they show up to "five pages of topics that are trending in search," in a sleek black background. You can scroll through the pages manually or turn on the autoscroll feature. Yahoo Adds Travel Photo Tours To Image Search

Image search could use a little organization, especially when you're searching for generic terms like place names -- cities, states, or tourist/geographic attractions. Who wants to browse through a couple million images of Boston to help plan your first visit there? Yahoo is making it easier to virtually tour popular places with what it calls a travel image refiner -- photos of popular destinations are organized in a new left-side column to speed up the search/browse/find process.
