Microsoft: Silicon Valley Team Building Stealth Search Engine from Techcrunch reports rumors that Microsoft is working on a new search engine.
Techcrunch says a “rock star” team of twenty or more people is developing this new search engine. They are building out the next generation “horizontal” search engine. I am told, Danny will ask Sanaz Ahari of Live.com team about this today at the SMX conference.
More coverage on this news at Techmeme.
Postscript: Danny asked Satya Nadella at the SMX conference about this and he basically denied it. He said they have teams all over the globe working on search.
