Microsoft has announced they released a new Live Search Maps India plus new imagery to Virtual Earth.

Live Search Maps India now has street maps for 9 important Indian cities including:

• Delhi
• Mumbai
• Chennai
• Kolkata
• Bengaluru
• Hyderabad
• Pune
• Ahmedabad
• Jaipur

Plus they added a “Location Search” feature, Business Listing (Yellow Pages) Search, Routing/Driving Directions, share/print features and the “collections” feature.

The new Virtual Earth September 2008 imagery update includes Orthos, Vector and 3D updates.

The orthos are updated at:

• Yakima, WA
• Springfield, MO
• Spokane, WA
• Portland, ME
• Grand Rapids, MI
• Billings, MT
• Minneapolis, MN (UltraCam Refresh)
• Seattle, WA (UltraCam Refresh)
• Las Vegas, NV (UltraCam Refresh)
• Phoenix, AZ (UltraCam Refresh)
• Tampa, Fl (UltraCam Refresh)

The vector updates can be found via:

• Vector overlays for Navteq and MDS data sources for orthos and Bird’s Eye
• All mobile tiles
• New British Isles Map style

The 3D update can be found in Tampa, Florida.
