This is a special message for our
SearchCap newsletter
readers and anyone who visits Search
Engine Land
, regarding Search Engine Land’s first conference:
Search Marketing Expo
Advanced
. It happens in Seattle this June 4th and 5th.

In 9 Reasons To
Attend SMX Advanced
that I posted last week, I explained that we see
networking as such an important part of the event that we’ve helped organize
three separate activities for "after hours" socializing. I wanted to explain a
bit more about those events in this post.

SMX Bash
— sponsored by
Microsoft — happens on
June 3, the night before the conference begins. It runs from 8:00pm until late.
It’s a networking reception open to all expo-only and full pass attendees who
have pre-registered for the show. There will be cocktails, munchies and entertainment for all expo-only and full pass attendees. The event happens at the Odyssey Maritime Discovery Center, right across from the Bell Harbor conference center. You can get a head start on SMX Advanced by picking up your conference badge and registration material in the Bell Harbor’s Elliott Hall. Then come socialize!

SMX Networking Reception
happens right after sessions end on the first day,
June 4, from 5:45pm through 7:00pm. This is open to all expo-only and full pass
attendees and gives you the opportunity to talk, drink and relax, plus wander
through the expo area.

SMX After Dark: Google Dance Northwest
— — sponsored by
Google Webmaster Central
and the Google Seattle/Kirkland office — happens late on the first day, June 4,
after you’ve had a chance to get dinner. Return to the Bell Harbor conference
center, where up on the roof from 9pm onward, there will be food, drinks, video
games and music for all full pass attendees.

Aside from the networking events, there’s also an entire
agenda
packed with two tracks worth of sessions covering organic and paid search
issues. I look forward to meeting many of our experienced search marketers who
read Search Engine Land at the show!

Not quite up for a show designed for advanced search marketers? Be sure to
check out our

SMX Local & Mobile
and

SMX Social Media
events happening in October. These are suitable for
marketers of all levels.

Remember, tickets for SMX Advanced are limited, in order to keep this a more
intimate event. When we sell-out, we’re sold out!
So book
early
, to avoid disappointment and being left out of the conference group
photos we’re likely to try! Plus book by May 8 to save before the price goes up!
