Great summary for all those that weren’t streaming the keynote speech themselves. However, I have one comment —

You say “For all of those complaining about the new Facebook layout, don’t worry- its days are numbered.” If I were you, I wouldn’t be so quick to reassure.

All those Facebook users who flipped out and complained about the “new Facebook layout” should be even MORE worried now. Its days are not numbered; this layout feature is merely a precursor to the Timeline, Open Graph, and App changes. The Ticker addition that went live earlier this week is here to stay – if users couldn’t handle a Ticker, the rest of the feature additions and layout changes just might blow their minds.

Facebook rocks. That’s really all there is to say. The amount of thought they put into user experience and making things “personal” and better is commendable.

Definitely more than most companies do.

We’re very excited for Open Graph :)

This introduction is going to make Facebook only better than what it is now. Given the shove coming these days from Google+, it is only appropriate they implemented these new features timely to provide a more satisfactory service to those hundreds of millions thronging the portal daily.
