I just wish the rumors were true and they would buy it – I think that Microsoft likes the rumor milll and probably really wants to purchase yahoo. But yahoo it stuck in thier hopes to digg themselves out of the hole thier in.

Yea, Microsoft buying another giant to be competitive in the search engine field, not surprising. Anyway, I actually found a site that helps links the two together, with all the connections in between at: http://www.newsvisual.com/newsvisual/2007/08/microsofts-ball.html Pretty interesting.

Personally, I would love to see MSN and Yahoo join forces IF it means a better search engine. Right now, my metrics show Google blowing both out of the water so badly that they seem more irrelevant by the day. However, if a big merger/acquisition like this means improved user-experience then I am all for it.

That is still a fascinating idea to me. Combined they could give Google a serious run for it’s money. I wouldn’t be shocked to wake up one morning and hear of an FTC filing or some such…
