Podcast: Preview Of SMX Advanced Show In Seattle Next Month

Thinking about attending Search Engine Land’s first conference, Search Marketing Expo Advanced, in Seattle this June 4th and 5th? There’s now a special SMX Advanced Preview Podcast where I talk about what to expect at our upcoming show. You’ll find the MP3 file here.

A few changes since the podcast was recorded. The debate on SEO I’d planned isn’t happening. We’ve added a new "You&A With Matt Cutts" session. We’ve also just confirmed a keynote with Microsoft search chief Satya Nadella, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s newly-created Search & Advertising Platform Group. That will happen on the first day and be posted to the agenda shortly. Matt’s session currently listed on the first day is moving to the second day.

Too busy to listen to the preview? Rand Fishkin of SEOmoz kindly interviewed me for the podcast, and he’s posted a written summary of some key takeaways from his perspective.

Is it worth going to SMX if you can afford the Expo-only pass, but not the Full conference pass?

Yes, it is worth going with an expo pass. We’ve actually included expo people in a lot of the networking activities, too. Of course, we’ll be thrilled if you decide to go for the full conference pass :)
