Road warriors know that tradeshow season is on. With SXSW just wrapped up, the herd continues west coast for the OMMA Hollywood next week followed by iMedia Breakthrough in Nevada. It will be back east for SES New York, the ACCM in Boston and the Search Insider Summit in Florida. And just in case you haven’t hit platinum status yet, mark down the SMX conference in Seattle.

For those looking for tradeshow scoop, Searcharazzi has just learned that the fabulously brilliant Esther Dyson will keynote the Search Insider Summit on May 7.

Groupie Alert! Groupie Alert! Searcharazzi repeats: Esther Dyson to keynote the Search Insider Summit on May 7.

In party updates, SES New York’s invite-only emails have started to circulate. Most notable is the invite-only penthouse party for 130 of the top search marketers. The big entertainment? “Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robot” bouts between search engines, rival businesses, sponsors, attendees, etc.

At the risk of sounding snarky, Searcharazzi wonders if the industry’s fixation on robots is a bit odd. Does anyone remember the robot wars at Ask.com’s 2006 SES New York event?
