If there was a silver lining to the rainy morning it was that little note above Searcharazzi’s Gmail inbox, stating “You are almost out of space for your Gmail account. You can view our tips on reducing your email storage or purchase additional storage (you must be logged in to see this).
A few minutes and a Google Checkout later, yours truly upgraded to a new plan. Interesting to note that the options stated: “Your new plan will automatically renew, but we will contact you 30 days prior to charging your credit card.” One thought is that this storage-buying exercise will help iron out the kinks for future monthly bills…like, perhaps a mobile phone bill?
The storage purchase being rather anti-climatic, let’s mull over the following rumors. Comments welcome:
-Is Google buying Alltel? -Which European web shop has agreed to be acquired (yes, there’s an SEM piece to that)? -What is Marchex going to do with VoiceStar (think local…)
