Aside from Twitter, I also do think that sites like Facebook and Squidoo are very popular as well when it comes to social media and book marking. You need to pay attention to the keywords that you’ll be using and have unique content and links to your website.

Also, it won’t hurt if you could participate on forums that relatively discusses SEO or forums that allows you to place a link in your signature.

It is very interesting how Twitter can really drive traffic. On a day when I cannot be active in Twitter, my site traffic is down. Using tools like http://www.tweetlater.com can help.

However, I think there is one missing tip. To choose a few top bloggers in the field and follow them, and comment on their blog posts. This helps a lot to get to know people and get people to know you. This will also help in the future to be accepted for a guest post…
