Ask just about any search marketer what they associate with Microsoft, and the answer will be “Bing.” But, Microsoft is much more than Bing, with many business units and a formidable research division. And increasingly, Bing is not “just” Microsoft’s Google competitor; rather, it is at the core of everything the company is trying to accomplish.
If Microsoft is successful with even a handful of its ambitious projects in big data, data mining and connecting the various technologies it has developed, the new possibilities and opportunities that will open up for marketers will be enormous.
