Google has a special logo on their home page for Niels Bohr’s 127th birthday. Niels Bohr is known as one of the most influential scientists of the 20th century. To pay tribute to his contributions, Google has a scientific Google Doodle for him.

Some of his contributions include Copenhagen interpretation, Complementarity, Bohr model, Sommerfeld–Bohr theory, BKS theory, Bohr-Einstein debates and Bohr magneton.

He and his son Aage received Nobel Prizes, Neils in 1922 for Physics and his son Aage in 1975 for Physics as well.

Neils Bohr was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on October 7, 1885. Passing at the age of 77 on November 18, 1962 also in Copenhagen, Denmark. He was married to Margrethe Nørlund in 1912 and had six sons. One, as mentioned above, also received the Nobel Prizes in Physics. The others, Hans Henrik was a physician, Erik was a chemical engineer and Ernest was a lawyer. The oldest died in a boating accident and another died from childhood meningitis.
