Find Content Quicker On The Go With Twitter’s New Mobile Search & Discover Upgrades

Users will now be able to find more on the go as a new round of  mobile updates have been launched for Twitter. The updates rolled out center on content discovery as the Search, Discover and Connect tabs have all been updated. The new changes make it easier for users to view more information at anytime, from any tab.

The specific upgrades rolled out include:

New-Twitter-Mobile-Search

Search – The new search screen gives users a more visual look with images and media tied into one stream. Users will still be able to sort by Tweets or people and the search icon will now be featured on every page of iOS (something that was already included on Android.)

Discover - When viewing the discover tab in either the iPhone or Android app, users will now see Tweets, Activity, Trends and Follow Suggestions in one stream. Activity and Trends can also be seen at a more granular level by clicking on either the “View all activity” or “View all trends” button. This mimics the web search upgrade released in November.

Connect – When looking at the connect tab, you’ll now see all interactions as the default view. So look for all mentions, follows and activity around your account to now show up under this tab. To revert back to the previous view head to your settings and select “mentions only.”

Links - The new mobile changes will be saving thumbs across the globe an extra click every time a user is trying to open a link. Previously, users were taken to the original Tweet upon click. Now, the link will be opened to the webpage.

For more information on the changes, see the official Twitter blog.
