The Search Engine Land editorial staff is growing. We’ve had two editors join in the past few months that I’ve been behind in writing about, and now Vanessa Fox is coming on as our features editor, so this is a good time to bring everything up to date!
Many readers know Vanessa from her days running Google Webmaster Central, but she left Google earlier this year to try some new things. She’s written a number of articles for us lately, including last week’s great look at how feed stats figures are compiled: How Feedburner Adds Up Subscriber Numbers. We’re thrilled things have worked out for her to come on as our features editor, in addition to her new gig as entrepreneur-in-residence for venture capital firm Ignition Partners.
In September, Rebecca Kelley came on as our copy editor. Many know Rebecca from her writings at SEOmoz, and she’s still going at it strong over there. But she’s now also spending a little time here to make sure all we dont havee typoes and other grammeratical problams. Rebecca, you are hereby excused from editing that last sentence! [Note from Rebecca: Must...resist...fixing...joke grammar...]
Also in September, we announced over at Sphinn that Rob Kerry had come on to oversee our new discussion and news sharing site. It’s been wonderful having him watch over things there on a day-to-day basis!
Finally, I’m happy to announce that staff writer Greg Sterling is now a contributing editor here. Greg ramped up his work with us several months ago, and the editor title is long overdue.
